Coroner's officers are trying to trace friends and relatives of a man who has died 28 years after being critically injured in a road accident.
Charles Sweeney, 69, had been a resident of Threshfield Court nursing home in Threshfield, near Skipton, since 1992. He died last week in Airedale General Hospital, near Keighley.
In August 1978, Mr Sweeney suffered severe injuries in an accident in Wakefield and spent three weeks in intensive care at Pinderfields Hospital. His injuries left him a quadraplegic.
Coroner's officer Tony Thornton said it had been established that Mr Sweeney was born in Edinburgh and had four older sisters. He also had two sons, but their whereabouts are unknown, and had lived in Manchester at one time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Mr Thornton on 01535-293481.
