Nottingham Forest Res 2 Bradford City Res 1
Ben Muirhead's continuing return to fitness was marred by a red card late in last night's defeat to Pontin's Holidays League Division One Central leaders Nottingham Forest.
Winger Muirhead, who has missed much of the season with a long-term hernia problem, was
dismissed in the 89th minute for a dangerous tackle on Jack Lester.
Experienced duo Lester and Scott Dobie struck the decisive goals for Forest, who also supplied City's reply when Julian Bennett scored in his own net.
Lester opened the scoring after just six minutes, when a corner fell kindly to him, but City soon equalised as Forest goalkeeper Paddy Gamble made a hash of Bennett's backpass.
The hosts snatched a winner ten minutes into the second half when Lewis McGugan's inch-perfect cross was headed home by Dobie.
City reserves: Howarth, Griffiths (McGuire), O'Brien, Bentham, L Smith, Hopkins, Colbeck, Penford (Morgan), Brown, Osborne (Bellamy), Muirhead. Subs: McGuire, Mitchell.
