Pervert drugged kidnap girl

A pervert abducted a 14-year-old girl, plied her with drugs and alcohol and forced her to watch a sex act.

Kenneth Thomas, 45, was due to stand trial at Bradford Crown Court yesterday but pleaded guilty to five charges before a jury was sworn in.

He admitted charges of child abduction, offering to supply class B drugs and two counts of administering poison which were alcohol and amphetamines, and causing a child to watch a sexual act.

Remanding him in custody to await psychiatric and pre-sentence reports, Judge Peter Benson warned Thomas that he would be locked up.

The court heard that on October 5 last year Thomas, of Brae Avenue, Bolton, Bradford, abducted the 14-year-old girl from her legal guardians and forced her to watch a sexual act for his own sexual gratification.

The girl's identity is protected by law.

Fiona Dix-Dyer, for the defendant, told the judge that Thomas had suffered mental health problems in the past and had twice been sectioned by the police.

Adjourning sentencing until April, Judge Peter Benson told Thomas: "These are serious matters and you must expect a sentence that will keep you away from the public."

Thomas was also told that he will have to sign on the sexual offender's register.

Prosecutor Tina Dempster told the court that the prosecution would also be applying for a sexual offences prevention order when Thomas is sentenced.
