St Bede's Gymnastics Club - Bradford's first Gym Mark accredited club - have won two silver medals in the Yorkshire Floor and Vault Team competition at Woodford Leisure Centre in Hull.
The eight to nine years age group team of Emma Irwin, Courtney Kozlow, Laima Harrison, Laura Speight and Savannah Gabriel finished runners-up.
And their feat was matched by the 12-plus age group of Lyndsey Halliday, Inara Harrison, Holly McGrellis, Amy Walker and Grace Reynolds.
Unfortunately, St Bede's ten to 11 years age group missed out on a bronze medal by 0.2 points.
Their squad was Natalie O'Connell, Joanna Fawcett-Jones, Emily Powell, Rosie McDonnell and Hannah Farikullah.
Nevertheless, two seconds and
a fourth were very creditable results bearing in mind that quite a number of the girls were competing in their first regionals.
St Bede's did win a good medal, however, in the Yorkshire Single Piece Championship, Hannah Whitford being crowned winner of the beam in the ten-11 age group. Charlotte Walker took bronze in the 12-plus vault.
The growing club, which hold sessions five times a week, are looking for funding to develop gymnasts even further in the city.
If any business or individual can help, they should contact Paul Foster on 01274-541221.
