Burke back with bang as Campion crash five

Leading scorer Mick Burke marked his return from a six-week ban with two more goals for Campion as they brushed aside Hemsworth Miners Welfare 5-0 in the Mumtaz Premier Division.

Also on target for the hosts were Lee Summerscales, Adie Howard and Sean Durkin as fourth-placed Campion kept in touch with the other top sides.

Any hopes that Tyersal may do Campion a favour and take something from their visit to leaders Bay Athletic were dashed when Kitson Gayle notched a hat-trick.

The Huddersfield side earned a 3-1 victory, with Gareth Carney netting Tyersal's consolation from the penalty spot.
