Backing for tennis development scheme

Ilkley Tennis Club officials and sponsors gathered at the club to launch the Aire and Wharfe Valley Tennis Development Programme set up by the club to develop tennis in schools and clubs.
They aim to provide progression and pathways for players.
Funding for the two year programme has come from the Bradford and Bingley Building Society (£10,000), Sportsmatch (£8,510) and the Yorkshire LTA (£6,400).
Those present included Robin Hodkinson (Group Scene), Paul Mitchell (Bradford and Bingley Building Society), Michael Hammond (Bradford and Bingley Building Society), Paul Bennett (Tennis Manager LTA), Georgina Jackson (Ilkley LTC Mini Tennis Co-ordinator).
