How you can prevent graveyard vandals

People can find out how to support a Bradford graveyard plagued by vandals at a meeting next month. The single issue neighbourhood forum meeting will focus on Bowling Cemetery where scores of headstones in its Muslim section were smashed last December. Since then officers from Bradford Council, the Bereavement Service, councillors and the police have met to discuss the problem. Officers will be at the meeting at 7pm at Bradford Cathedral Community College, Lister Avenue, Bowling, on March 15 to answer people's questions. People are also being urged to report any incidents in the cemetery to police by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or 999 if police need to attend.   more...
