From the archive, first published Saturday 17th Mar 2007.

A shopkeeper and his wife were held up by masked robbers carrying what was believed to be a handgun.

They escaped with the till and all the money inside it.

There were no customers in the convenience store, in Roker Lane, Pudsey, at 8.20pm on Friday, when the two men entered the shop.

No shots were fired.

The suspects are described as white and about 20 years old.

One was slim, wearing a dark balaclava and holding a small black handgun, while the second was chubby and wore dark clothing and a pink and white scarf around his face.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of the shop who may have seen anything or anyone who finds the till to contact Pudsey Weetwood Police on (0113) 2413459.
