Name change for Craven League

The JP Mewies Craven & District League will now be known as the Mewies Solicitors Craven & District League.

The league's representative side will face a Pateley Bridge XI at the Nidderdale Show on Monday, September 24.

Transfers ratified at the Craven League's March meeting were:

Wajid Mahmood (Haworth Road to Airedale), Alec Pue (Long Lee to Airedale), Philip Alan Broadley (Keighley to Airedale), Karl Sampson (Golsborough to Glusburn), Liam Hainsworth (Undercliffe to Haworth Road), John Hillary (Embsay to Bradley).

Skipton-born James Whitaker, the former Leicestershire and England batsman, will present the prizes at the Craven League's annual dinner at the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton on Friday, October 26.

The extraordinary general meeting of the Bradford Central League has moved back a week and will now be held on Thursday, April 19. The monthly meeting of the Craven League has been moved forward a week to Monday, April 2.
