housing hotline launched

From the archive, first published Saturday 17th Mar 2007.

Housing association tenants will be able to request repair work at the touch of a button.

A special hotline has begun as part of a series of improvements to Bradford Community Housing Trust's (BCHT) repairs operation.

And residents can also report a repair by e-mail.

The hotline - (01274) 257003 or repairshotline@bchtgroup.org - is run by Bradford Building Services, the repair and maintenance arm of BCHT.

Tenants are being urged to use the hotline 24 hours a day rather than reporting repairs to their local BCHT office.

The telephone number should also be used for all emergency repairs.

Greg Robinson, director of operations at Bradford Building Services, said: "The new hotline aims to improve our performance levels further."
