Deborah's long service

From the archive, first published Tuesday 20th Mar 2007.

Deborah Rawson - general manager at Morrisons' Keighley store - has been rewarded for completing 25 years of unbroken service with the company.

She was among nearly 40 long-serving Morrisons staff from across the country who received certificates and shares in a ceremony at the firm's Bradford head office.

Mrs Rawson began work at the store as a student in 1982, progressing to administration assistant and then administration supervisor. She became an administration manager and then food hall boss.

After a spell as deputy manager at Morrisons' Heckmondwike store, she returned to Keighley as store manager.

Mrs Rawson said: "I can't believe it has been 25 years - it has passed so quickly. It seems like only yesterday when I started working here.

"I have made a lot of friends at the store and feel very proud to have been recognised for the time I have worked here."
