An event aimed at showcasing disabled people's capabilities in the workplace is being staged next month.

Local employers are being urged to attend the April 17 venture, being organised by disability advocacy service Bradnet.

A spokesman said: "Bradford district has a high rate of disability yet only a small fraction of this group is employed, even though there are many provisions in place.

"The aim of this event is to educate employers as to these provisions and to the availability, capability and desire of disabled people wishing to enter employment."
