The contract with Saltaire-based Pace Micro Technology will see the two working on researching new areas of digital TV technology.
ADI chief executive Ged Powell said: "I am delighted that our first contract is with an internationally renowned company such as Pace Micro Technology. The company is recognised as being at the forefront of not only the UK's but the world's digital TV industry."
David Gillies, Pace Micro Technology's director of technology said, "We are pleased to be associated with the ADI and that their first contract is with Pace. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship."
Opened at Cottingley Business Park six months ago, the ADI is the UK's first independent research and development organisation dedicated to supporting high-tech companies through research and development.
The ADI is funded by a £2m Yorkshire Forward contract, Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Airedale Partnership, and EU Regional Fund support.
