Children are to pave the way in the battle to beat obesity in Keighley which has one of the highest numbers of overweight people in the district.
They have been chosen to pioneer the Bradford Ccouncil Tackling Obesity project which eventually will be rolled out across the district.
An action plan and report was launched at Highfield Community Centre in the town on Friday in which children from four primary school - Victoria, St Andrews, Oldfield and Worth Valley - demonstrated a variety of health ways to keep fit and trim.
They got stuck-in to planting vegetable seeds, tasting fruits, and attempting yoga.
And a number of stalls encouraged them to get involved in Bradford Council's bactive programme and the activities of Keighley Healthy Living Network and sportKeighley.
Among the youngsters taking part was Spencer Mower, ten, of Stanbury, a pupil at Oldfield School, who has Ready Brek and cold milk for breakfast.
He said: "I like to have a healthy breakfast. I like McDonald's but only have one about every two months."
sportKeighley is laying on a series of activities throughout the Easter holidays ranging from football training and dance to cooking and circus skills.
