Man accused over cannabis

Malaysian man Via Zhou appeared at Bingley Court yesterday accused of growing a quantity of cannabis in an attic in Keighley, with a street value of £140,000.

Prosecutor, Matthew Harding, said the 335 plants were discovered by police in a house in Belgrave Road, on Tuesday.

Zhou, 54, who needed an interpreter in court, elected not to plead or to seek bail and was remanded in custody to appear again at Bingley court on Thursday.
