Youngsters get in the swim

The next series of events in the Kirklees Youth Games calendar, a series of swimming galas, is starting this week.

More than 150 primary school in Kirklees will attend the galas over the coming weeks with more than 1,000 children taking part.

The gala for schools in the Spenborough area will be held at Spenborough Pool and Sports Complex, between 4.30pm and 6pm on Friday.

While schools in the Batley area will have their gala at the Spenborough Pool on Monday, June 25, starting at 6pm.
