Police investigate car fire

A car was set alight after being dumped next to a British Gas storage box.

Firefighters raced to the scene after it was reported that a person was inside the blazing Ford Orion.

But when crews arrived the car was empty.

A fire spokesman said: "The car was well alight but luckily we managed to avoid it being involved with the gas storage building."

Police were also called to the scene and will be investigating.

The blaze happened at Station Road, Oakworth, near Keighley, at 4.30am yesterday.
