Two quizzed over crash released

Police have released two men they had been questioning about a crash which left a driver fighting for life.

A 61-year-old man was critically injured when his green Volvo estate was involved in a collision with a purple Audi A3 in East Bierley, Bradford, on Monday night.

Today his condition had improved and he was "stable" in Bradford Royal Infirmary.

The man, and a woman front-seat passenger, had to be cut free from the wreckage after the collision at the junction of Bradford Road and South View Road at 9.30pm.

The passenger was discharged from hospital after treatment.

Two men, aged 23 and 21, were arrested following the accident and questioned by police.

They have now been released on bail pending further inquiries.
