Another good year for help fund

The Partnership Investment Finance (PIF), a £37 million fund for assisting growing businesses in Yorkshire, has claimed another highly successful year in its 2006 annual report.

PIF helped 200 regional businesses from this dedicated fund, which has distributed more than £10 million of investment to date.

Bradford successes include office furniture business Flexiform, luxury bath manufacturer Clearwater Collection and technology company Strata Software and Consultancy.

Chief executive Jon Harris said: "It has been another phenomenal year for the team at PIF. With the help of Business Links, chambers of commerce and enterprise agencies, we have been able to assist numerous businesses."

Alex McWhirter, head of enterprise at Yorkshire Forward said that PIF offered a vital tool to companies in the region.
