Swimming scheme wins award

A scheme which has successfully boosted single-sex family swimming has won a prestigious award.

The BD3 Kelloggs Swim Active project were joint winners for the Healthy Communities award and was highly commended for the Creating a Lasting Legacy award at the Local Government Chronicle awards.

They shared their award with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service. The scheme is organised by Bradford Council's sport and leisure service and Bradford District Health Development Partnership, along with the ASA and BD34ALL Extended Schools scheme.
