Meander sets off from library

From the archive, first published Monday 5th Mar 2007.

A short stroll following a route featured in a new leaflet of walks will be held on Wednesday.

The walk will take participants from Mirfield Library to Castle Hall Hill, following some of the ginnels in Mirfield.

Walkers should meet Kirklees countryside access officer John Gleadow at 10am, in the small garden outside the library, in Huddersfield Road.

The walk is taken from Mirfield Meanders, which features three short walks in Mirfield, ranging from nearly two to three miles.

It is available free from libraries, tourist information centres and other Council outlets.

For more information on the walk, call Mr Gleadow on (01484) 234077.
