Club celebrates top ten status

A Shipley social club has come in the top ten in a competition to find the best clubs in Great Britain.

The Shipley Club, on Bradford Road, Shipley, was acknowledged for its cask ales at a ceremony in Manchester in December. But so packed is the club's social calendar that it had to wait until last weekend to host its celebratory bash.

The event was organised to thank all those who had supported the club including, most importantly the breweries which supply the cask ales to the club.
