Councillors join forces with police over trouble

From the archive, first published Wednesday 7th Mar 2007.

Silsden town councillors are to join forces with the police to tackle anti-social behaviour problems. The decision was made after deputy mayor Liz Trainor requested that the town council support the police in writing a letter to the parents of young troublemakers. Coun Trainor said: "The police would take the letter to the parents saying this vandalism has got to stop and the town council supports this. The parents must be responsible for their kids."
