Police are urging members of the public not to be reluctant about reporting suspicious behaviour.
Their plea comes after a home on Raikes Road, Skipton, was burgled between 1am and 9am on Sunday.
The burglars got in through an open window and left via a kitchen window.
They stole a laptop worth £1,020, Nokia mobile phone, car keys and a handbag containing cash and bank cards, which they then used at a cash point at the local Morrisons store.
Police inquiries have revealed that neighbours saw a small black hatchback car with two occupants in the area at the time.
A police spokesman said: "Unfortunately the police were not informed. We would encourage anyone to ring us if they see any suspicious activity and then we can check it out and possibly prevent people becoming victims of crime."
The two men were both aged about 25 and 6ft tall. One wore a black hat.
Anyone with information should call police on 0845 6060247.
