Intrepid inventors are being sought for a wacky downhill race.
Entries are being taken now for Baildon's Soapbox Derby in time for the big event on Saturday, May 27.
Across the village, home-made go-carts are being constructed and plans drawn up to be first past the finishing post.
The derby, in aid of charities, will see daring drivers steer the machines in all shapes and forms down Baildon Green, from the Fisheries to the Cricketers Arms.
The starting whistle blows at 10am .
Other highlights during the day will include three live bands, a bouncy castle and a display by the 3 Valleys Mini Car Club.
