Man held after drugs swoop

From the archive, first published Tuesday 12th Feb 2008.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing and money laundering after a raid in the Duckworth Grove area of Bradford.

He was arrested on Monday on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and money laundering after a "significant amount" of suspected heroin and crack cocaine were recovered by the Bradford District Drugs Team, a police spokesman said.

He was later released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Detective Inspector Neil Benstead, of the Bradford Area Drugs Team, said: "I can't emphasise enough how important it is that we continue to receive information from the public about suspected dealing in their area.

"The more information we have, the more effective we can be in driving drugs out of the district."
