Christians in Bradford have vowed to pray for Pakistan on its election night.
The doors of St Clement's Church, Barkerend Road, Bradford, will be open to all for the vigil from 6pm until midnight on Monday.
The Reverend Dale Barton said the idea came to him following the assassination of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
He said: "We believe God longs to hear our prayers and his power is released when we ask him in faith. We want to show people Christians care about Pakistan at this crucial time.
"This parish is said to be the third most Muslim in the Church of England and, as His church is here to serve the people, this half-night of prayer is a good way to do that."
Anyone can drop in from 6pm until midnight with structured prayers from 7.30pm until 9pm.
